Gokyo – Kalapatthar Trek, Trek to Gokyo

Trekking to Gokyo Valley and Kalapatthar is one of the dramatic treks in Nepal which provides the best alternative to the popular Everest Base Camp trek. We follow the normal trekking route of popular Everest base camp trekking and take a different route up from Namche. The trek takes you through serene beauty of Gokyo valley with sparking lakes seen against the backdrop of mighty snowcapped snow peaks. The ascension of Gokyo Ri for paroramic view of some of the top ten majestic mountains, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse Makalu, Cho Oyu, crossing of Cho La Pass ( 5420m. ), one of the challenging high passes in the high Himalayas and rarely attempted by the trekkers, close up view of Everest from Kalapatthar and finally making the historical footprint at the Everest base camp which many people dream in their life time justify a fabulous trek. On the return we take you through many cultural sights; Pangboche, a traditional Sherpa village with old traditional monasteries, Tengboche, famous for it's ornately decorated Tibetan monastery and finally Himalayan flight from Lukla to Kathmandu with magnificent views of high Himalayas.

Day 01 : Khamandu - Lukla by flight. Trek to Phakding.
Day 02 : Trek to Namche Bazaar.
Day 03 : Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization.
Day 04 : Trek to Phortsethanga.
Day 05: Trek to Dole
Day 06: Trek to Machhermo
Day 07: Trek to Gokyo.
Day 08: Trek to Dragnak
Day 09: Trek Cho La - Dzongla.
Day 10: Trek to Lobuche.
Day 11: Trek to Kalapatther – Lobuche
Day 12: Trek to Pangboche
Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazar.
Day 14: Trek to Lukla.
Day 15: Lukla - Kathamandu by flight
