Mt Kailash Mansarovar Tour Route Details
Mt Kailash Manasarovar tour begins with the drive on Araniko Highway to Nepal Tibet border, Tatopani. After the immigration formalities on both sides, Mt Kailash journey begins driving along the vast pasture lands and crossing high passes with magnificent views of Himalayas. After exploring Mansarovar, we start hiking to make Kora ( circumbulation ) of Mt Kailash. The hiking will be tough as we cross over Drolma La pass (5630m.). Hiking on the difficult terrain and most of the time with fresh snow in the trail will be challenging. Mt Kailash Mansarovar tour will give you the feeling of peace and tranquility as well as the enchantment of the adventure.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Meeting at the airport and transfer to a hotel. Briefing of the trip at a convenient time.
Day 02: Cultural Tour and Trip preparation (Obtaining Chinese visa)
Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath, the Buddhist Stupa the profound expression of Bhuddism in Nepal and Kathmandu Durbar Square, clustered with old royal palaces and distinctive pagoda roofed temples, stone sculpture and old monuments.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Nylam (3750m. 7-8 hrs.)
Drive to Kodari (Nepal – China border). After completing custom formalities on both sides, drive to Nyalam.
Day 04: Free Day in Nyalam for Acclimatization
Hike up to the hills for acclimatization and rest at Nyalam.
Day 05: Drive Nylam to Saga (4200m., 232 km, 8 hours.).
Drive passing Lalungla Pass (5050m) to the western part of Tibet. Cross Brahmaputra (a holy river) and further driving to Saga.
Day 06: Saga to Paryang (4500m., 190 km., 5 hrs.)
Drive through enormous valleys with grazing land of yaks and sheep and cross several rivers.
Day 07: Paryang to Manasarovar (4550m. 225 km. 6 hrs.)
Continue driving on the rough road along the vast green pastures and gigantic valleys and get the first sight of Mt. Kailash and Mansaovar. Further driving to Thogu, the holiest bathing gate at the bank of Mansarovar.
Day 08: Manasarovar to Darchen (4520m., 60 km.)
Observe Mansarovar, the holiest lake among the lakes in Tibet and take a holy bath and do pooja. Dive to Darchen with great views of Mt. Gurla Mandhata (7728m.) on the south and Mt. Kailash on the north.
Day 09: Darchen to Driaphuk (4890m. 20 km. 7 hrs.)
Drive to Tarpuche and then commence trekking heading to west in clockwise direction passing several chortens , waterfalls and then climbing to acairn at 4730m. with view of southern face of Mt. Kailash.
Day 10: Driaphuk to Zuthulphuk (4750m. 18 km. 8 hrs.)
A hard day with hiking through rocky expanse dotted with stone cairns to Drolma La pass (5630m.) with unpredictable weather. Descend through steep trail pass Gauri Kunda Lake to Zuthulphuk monastery ( the cave where Milarepa had meditated.
Day 11: Zuthulphuk to Manasarovar.
Trek for three hours complete the kora and and drive to Tangsar and then to Mansarovar.
Day 12: Manasarovar to Paryang
Take the same route and drive back to Paryang.
Day 13: Paryang to Saga:
Drive back to Saga. Overnight at Saga, guest house.
Day 14: Saga to Nylam
Drive back to Nylam.
Day 15: Nylam to Kathmandu
Drive to Friendship Bridge, go through the boarder formalities on both sides and proceed to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant with culture program.
Day 16: Airport Transfer
Transfer to airport for international departure.
