Cho Latse ( 6440m.)
|
Cho Latse is situated in Khumbu region near the famous trekking trail of Everest base camp. It is one of the recently opened trekking peaks for climbing in Nepal Himalaya. It is connected to Tawoche by along ridge and its north and east face can be seen from Dughla on the trail to Everest base camp. It is a fluted snow peak with a summit plateau, hard in finding the summit. It is considered a technical peak and requires climbing on ice, snow and rocks. Cholatse was first climbed via the southwest ridge in 1982 and the steep North face was first climbed in 1984.
Itinerary
Day 01: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Day 02: Trek to Namche
Day 03: Rest at Namche
Day 04: Trek to Tengboche
Day 05: Trek to Pheriche
Day 06: Trek to Lobuche
Day 07: Trek to Kalapatthar - Lobuche
Day 08: Trek to base camp
Day 09 – 15: Climbing period
Day 16: Trek back to Pangboche
Day 17: Trek to Namche
Day 18: Trek to Lukla
Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu .
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 21: Airport transfer for return flight.
Cost will be provided on request.
The cost includes:
- Lodge trek arrangement for the trekking part ( guide, porters, meals and accommdotion at hotels/lodges in the trekking trail ) and full camping trek arrangement ( cook, kitchen boy, porters, all meals, cooking and camping equipment) for the climbing period
- Peak permit fee.
- Climbing guide and his equipment allowance
- High altitude tent, ropes, snow bars, gas (high fuel) & high food.
- Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu airfare
- Staff insurance.
- National Park entrnace fee.
- Airport arrival and departure
